Rachael - Confirmation Cake

The palest of pinks topped with handmade sugar flowers. This is an 8" vanilla cake and was made to celebrate Rachael's Confirmation.






Harry - Lace and gold christening cake

Demelza ordered this two-tier zesty lemon cake for Harry's christening this weekend. I love the elegance of this cake and I loved getting to use cake lace again.

Katie & Nick - Navy and blush rose wedding cake

Katie and Nick tied the knot this weekend in the gorgeous Portmarnock Hotel (we got a sneak peek at them as they were married in the hotel itself) and this is the cake they asked us to make. 

Navy and white with blush pink roses to match the bridesmaids and the bouquets. The cake is made up of a 10" vanilla and raspberry, double-height 8" vanilla and raspberry and 6" traditional fruit cake. 

The roses are made from gum-paste and, if you wish, edible lol.

Skinner & Brona - Wedding

Iris ordered this cake for her friend's wedding day. The cake is made up of an 8" chocolate biscuit cake (on an 8" dummy) topped with a 6" Baileys cake. Love how elegant it looked and loved dealing with the venue, they were fantastic.

Reese - Unicorn Confirmation Cake

Reese made her confirmation last week and this is the cake she requested. It is an extra high 8" red velvet and the main is made from meringue (nicer than buttercream I find). Everything is edible and handmade.

This is an 8" chocolate biscuit cake and was made to celebrate Imelda's recent birthday.



Mick - 40th Birthday Cake

Okay, so this isn't Mick's cake but rather, the one he ordered for his wife's recent birthday celebrations. He wanted something with gold and flowers and this delivers. The cakes are an 8" and 6" red velvet and all the flowers are handmade from sugar, by me .... who has been practising lol.

I love this cake, it is so prettily simple. The topper was provided by Shindigs and is the perfect finishing touch. The cake itself is an 8" zesty lemon topped with a 6" carrot cake.

Eileen made the 9" chocolate biscuit cake for this cake. The top two tiers are dummies. The brief was simplicity with a touch of gold. I used edible arts gorgeous flash gold for the highlight on the cake and made a white succulent for added decoration.

Ricky and Satomi - Ranunculas Wedding Cake

Ricky and Satomi had their wedding reception yesterday. Everyone managed to get home for it, no mean feat considering flights etc. were diverted and cancelled due to the snow! Helen, Ricky's sister, ordered this two tier vanilla cake for the occasion. Everything is edible and handmade.
