Katie & Nick - Navy and blush rose wedding cake

Katie and Nick tied the knot this weekend in the gorgeous Portmarnock Hotel (we got a sneak peek at them as they were married in the hotel itself) and this is the cake they asked us to make.

Navy and white with blush pink roses to match the bridesmaids and the bouquets. The cake is made up of a 10" vanilla and raspberry, double-height 8" vanilla and raspberry and 6" traditional fruit cake.

The roses are made from gum-paste and, if you wish, edible lol.

Miriam - 90th Birthday Cake

Miriam ordered this 8" zesty lemon cake for her mam's 90th birthday celebrations.   Based on a cake by the fabulous Lynzie Ritchie (who recommended us to Miriam) this is a new favourite of mine.

Sinead - 30th birthday drip cake

Sinead ordered this double tier vanilla cake for her birthday celebrations. I have to say, I am learning to love making roses. Everything is edible and handmade and based on a design sent to me by Sinead herself.

Marisa - 40th Birthday Handbag and Shoe Cake

Patrick ordered this carved 10" vanilla cake for his wife's 40th birthday.
You really can't go wrong with handbags and shoes (personally speaking that is).
Everything is edible and handmade.

Patricia - 70th Birthday Roses Cake

I do like this cake.  Very much in fact (even though my fingers ache from making all those flowers).

It is a 10" strawberry swirl and made to celebrate Patricia's 70th birthday.  Everything is handmade and edible.
