Talia - Christening Cake

 Another delayed event finally got to take place this weekend. Talia's christening day. Tania, her mam, sent me a drawing months ago of a design she had in mind and I really enjoyed making it. Don't often get asked to make gorgeous bling. The cake is a 10" vanilla cake and everything is edible apart from the really sparkly bits. They had to be removed prior to cutting the cake.

Daire & Hugo - First Birthday Cake / Hot Air Balloon Cake

 Two cousins celebrated their first birthday recently. This is the cake Daire's mam ordered for the party. It's based on an image Ann Marie sent me. The Cake is an 8" vanilla and raspberry, extra tall, Everything is edible except the balloon.

Richie - Friends Birthday Cake

Ordered by Carrie, this is one of the last cakes I made pre shutdown.

It is an 8" chocolate biscuit cake topped with a 6" vanilla cake and it went down a storm.

Everything is edible and handmade.

Eddie - Covered in bees cake

Hannah asked that I make this 8" vanilla cake for an end of tour gift for Eddie Izzard. The brief was 'covered in bees' and ... it really was. I'd made 200 the weekend before, that just about covered the top of the cake lol.

Holly - Kitten Birthday Cake

It's hard to make a kitten look cheerful, I know, I tried for an hour!

Holly is 1 (very fast year) and loves her pet cat so we made a cake version. This is an 8" vanilla cake and even the whiskers can be eaten.

Katie & Nick - Navy and blush rose wedding cake

Katie and Nick tied the knot this weekend in the gorgeous Portmarnock Hotel (we got a sneak peek at them as they were married in the hotel itself) and this is the cake they asked us to make. 

Navy and white with blush pink roses to match the bridesmaids and the bouquets. The cake is made up of a 10" vanilla and raspberry, double-height 8" vanilla and raspberry and 6" traditional fruit cake. 

The roses are made from gum-paste and, if you wish, edible lol.

Appa - Photo Birthday Cake

Rahki ordered this 6" vanilla cake for her husbands birthday last weekend. It's his first birthday since they had their baby so she thought this would be a great surprise. I think so too.

Claire - 70th Birthday Cake

Claire asked me to make this 8" vanilla and raspberry cake for her parents recent birthday celebrations. She sent me a beautiful photo of them on holidays and they look so loved up. They adore their dogs and the da adores a bar of chocolate every now and then ... as does the dog. All edible and handmade.

Sinead - Roses Christening Cake

Wesley ordered this 8" zesty lemon cake for his nieces' christening. It's based on one of our first cakes and I love this updated version.

Indi Rose - Peppa Pig 2nd Birthday Cake

Summer asked me to make this cake for the beautifully named Indi Rose. She's a big Peppa fan. Everything is edible and handmade.
