Isabella and Scarlett - Football Birthday Cake

Twins, Isabella and Scarlett turned 8 this week and I was delighted to make their cake.  The cake is a 9" chocolate biscuit cake and everything is edible ... including the goal net.  Isabella is a huge Messi fan and Scarlett loves deGea.  Having googled many a photo of him to see his kit ... I've become a bit of a fan too.  

Jimmie - 80th Birthday Cake

Jimmie turned 80 this week and it was a pleasure to make this cake for him. He has his favourite armchair, newspapers to read, golf clubs at the ready and a suitcase for fleeing should he feel the need. Everything is edible and handmade.

Edward - Cake Topper

I was asked to make this cake topper by another cake maker friend (even scarier than making cakes for customers). I was told that the birthday boy was 80 years young, a huge fan of Longford and Sligo GAA (hence the cushions), with a fine head of wavy hair and a dog he adores. Nailed it. Loved making this.

Ella - 18th Birthday Cake

Made for Ella's 18th birthday this is an 8" vanilla cake with a strawberry and white chocolate ganache filling.

The topper was made by a new Irish company called 'Cake Top Designs'. Added exactly what I needed to this watercolour and gold cake.

Maitiu - Christening Cake

An 8" chocolate biscuit cake made for Maitiu's Christening Day. Maitiu's dad knew exactly what he wanted (he sent me the most gorgeous photo of his son) which always makes life easy.

Everything is edible and the topper can be kept as a keepsake.

Margaret - 40th Birthday Cake

Myself and Kathryn had been emailing back and forth for a while before it clicked with both of us that Margaret is my lovely neighbour.  This gorgeous lady is the mother of four, married to a handsome chap from Bath, she herself hails from Mayo.  She teaches and loves the odd glass of wine!!

Bernie - Cake Topper

My friends Carol and Lorraine asked me to make a topper for their mam's 80th birthday. I was only too happy to help out. Bernie has a ganzy load of hobbies so I had to narrow them down to fit on this 7" board. I managed to include shopping, knitting (although I know she has a knitting machine), travelling Ireland and gardening ... you should see her garden!

Nicola - Black Spiked Louboutin Shoe - Cake Topper

Based on the ladies own shoes this is an edible version. Made entirely from florist paste and sat on a lid of chocolate biscuit cake.

Christmas Cake 2014

This was our Christmas Cake this year, 2014, and I entered it into the Dublin Sugar craft Guild show for fun.  I won first place and everyone was happy. I am trying to get over my competitive streak.

Linda's Mammy's Cake!

I do love this cake. It is a 10" zesty lemon cake with handmade model of the mammy doing what she loves most, drinking tea, playing solitaire and eating chocolate. . . all in her favourite armchair.
