I wanted to make something to surprise the family so .... Totoro! The cake is an 8" ginger, date and lemon and is entirely edible. .... okay, edit, the lights obviously aren't edible x
This was ordered by Niamh's mam to celebrate her daughter passing her exams. A teacher who is, according to her pals, a princess at times. The cake is a 6" chocolate biscuit cake and everything is edible.
The lovely people in Newswhip have an admirer (or rather, one of them does). She asked us to make a cake in the company colours and incorporating a dominatrix and a chap reading the newspaper. No problem at all.
The cake itself is a 8" chocolate fudge cake and the figures are handmade and edible and, despite rumours to the contrary, she is not based on me! Hhahahah.
Another sweet Christening Cake. This was made for Robert and it is a 10" chocolate fudge cake. Everything is handmade and edible. The rocking horse even rocks.
Since taking up cake making I have met many wonderful Cakers, some of whom have turned into great friends. One of these is Nicola Grant of Impact Cakes. So when she was feeling under the weather and asked me to make a model to go with her fantastic cake I was happy to oblige.
We made this for the nicest woman. It was for her daughter's 21st birthday. The cake itself is a 10" chocolate biscuit cake and all the 'MAC' products are made from sugarpaste and Mexican Modelling Paste.
I love these. I know I say that after nearly every cake I make but I do really love these. They were made for my son's friend and are a light chocolate cake with a fondant top, decorated in the style of Mario Bros.
I share my life with a husband, 3 sons, 2 dogs and, sad face, 1 rat.
I frequently want to be left alone but after about five minutes I go into a panic and need company again. A contrary hooer through and through.
