Bere Island - 70th Birthday Cake

Kate's dad, who celebrated his 70th birthday today, loves sailing and loves Bere Island. I loved making this cake. He is wearing an Ironman shirt but his jumper is covering the logo. Oh, and that's Ironman as in super sports people NOT the Marvel comic book hero. Everything is edible, except the boat rails.

Row yer boat

I love this cake.  It is a 10" vanilla cake and made for Niamh who was celebrating her birthday.  She rows for Trinity College in Dublin and I really enjoyed making this.  My favourite bit?  The ducks.

Bob and Marge's 75th Surprise Cake

My aunt and uncle recently turned 75.  There was a surprise party and my cousin rang looking for a cake incorporating organ playing and sailing!!?  A good caking friend (Karen Geraghty - no relation) came up with something along this line, I was stumped.
The cake itself is a 10" chocolate fudge cake and everything, excl. jewellery, and mast, are edible.  Do love this cake.
