Rush Swimming Club - 50 years celebration

One of my favourite cakes this year. Made to celebrate Rush's Swimming Club's 50th anniversary this is a 10" vanilla cake. The inside of it is blue ombre .... you'll have to trust me on this lol. Everything is edible and handmade. The swimmer is based on one of my favourite people on twitter. She has just started swimming again after a couple of years out of the pool. Glamorous as hell that one.

Bryan - Uilleann pipes Birthday Cake

I loved making this cake. Or I did when I worked out that every set of uilleann pipes is different. The cake is an 8" chocolate biscuit cake. Zena asked that we include Guns 'n' Roses, the music Roisin Dubh and the aforementioned uilleann pipes. All edible and handmade.

James - Electrician's 40th Birthday Cake

So, this cake! You're going to love the story about how it came to be. A couple of weeks back (remember the frantic days just before Christmas? The ones were we were all running around, chanting lists like prayers .... because we left the actual lists on the kitchen table? Well, I was dropping the youngest chap in to school and there was a red light on the dashboard and I asked the child to check it's meaning in the car's manual. He asked me to describe it... "red, looks like a tie fighter or Darth Vader's ship ....." "oh dear, it says you should go straight to the garage!" Of course, it meant I had to go to the garage, aka Paul aka James' brother. It was Christmas after all and I've not had a Christmas in years where one of the cars doesn't visit him. I turn up at his place and he is delighted to see me. I get a hug and everything. He'd cocked up and not ordered a cake for his brother's birthday, his brother's birthday that was happening the next day!!! We laughed at our mutual emergencies, through gritted teeth, and promised to sort out the other's problem. It took him all of a split second to work out what the problem with the car was. The handbrake was on!!! THE HANDBRAKE!!!!!!I It took me 8 hours to make this. He's worth it though. Everything is edible and handmade and the cake itself is an 8" chocolate biscuit.

Sinead and Kendrick - Succulent Wedding Cake

Sinead is my husband's cousin but I like to think of her as being my cousin too. I love her very much indeed. Yesterday she married the gorgeous and according to the best man, proper hard nut if you mess with him (not sure I believe Westie) Kendrick in the loveliest of ceremonies in North County Dublin. BTW, I finally got to go to a wedding YAYAY. We were delighted to make the cake. It is a double height 8" round chocolate biscuit cake topped with a 6" double height gluten-free strawberry swirl tier. p.s. Don't the pair of them look gorgeous xx

Michelle - Anniversary Cake

Michelle ordered this 8" zesty lemon cake for her parents recent anniversary. The cake is based around the story of how they met. He was fishing and she caught his eye and he was hooked!
