Adam - First Birthday Cake

This is a carved 10" Zesty Lemon Cake.  It was made to celebrate Adam's first birthday.  Everything is edible and handmade.

Suzuki Jigster for Nigel

This was a great cake to make.  A two tier cake, 10" chocolate biscuit and an 8" vanilla, with a handmade Suzuki Jigster on top.  The birthday boy loved it.  As did his lovely wife who ordered it.

Red van for Darren

A carved 10" chocolate biscuit cake made for the lovely Darren.  I know he's lovely for two reasons, his girlfriend told me he was and he worked on making my lovely friend A's house beautiful.

Gibson SG for Jon

We got a phone call about making a Gibson SG and I nearly had heart failure but we took the gig anyway and it was so much fun.  Nice to be really challenged.  Everyone I told about the cake kept saying Geoff from Ace of Cakes made one - you'll be grand.  But I'm no Geoff!!

Still, it turned out brilliantly and I am dead proud of it.  Combined effort of Bernie and myself and ............judge for yourself.

The cake itself is a carved 12" vanilla madeira, triple layered with vanilla buttercream and covered in sugarpaste.

Somewhere, beneath the sea. Nemo

Nemo is a carved 10" chocolate orange cake.  Layered with a delicious chocolate orange buttercream.

I was unwell, migraine, and Bernie just did her thing and ... doesn't Nemo look fantastic?
