Eloise & Robin - First Birthday Cake

Eloise and Robin celebrated their first birthdays recently. This is the cake their mam ordered to kick the celebrations off. It is an 8" vanilla and everything is edible.

Nora - Elephant Christening Cake

Alison ordered this 8" strawberry swirl cake to celebrate her daughter's christening day. I do love the name Nora.

Linda - Engagement Cake

Linda ordered this 8" chocolate biscuit cake for the party organised to celebrate her daughter's engagement to Laurence. Everything is handmade and edible.

Kay - Owl Birthday Cake

Claire Louise ordered this cake for Kay's birthday.    This vanilla cake is an 8" round that is 6" high Everything is handmade and edible... including the lace ribbon. 

Lauren and Paul - Castle Durrow

Lauren ordered this cake to celebrate her marriage to Paul.   The cake is a variation on one we had made previously and, I have to say, I love it as a two tier.   The cake itself consists of a 10" Strawberry Swirl tier and an 8" Ginger, Date and Lemon tier.  Both tiers are 5" high.  We also made cupcakes for them, keeping with the rose gold theme, these were a variety of red velvet and raspberry and white chocolate.

What made this cake extra special was .... the bride and groom served it before the meal!!  Myself and Bernie always suggest it but this, I'm pretty sure, is the first time anyone did it.  We set it up in the room the bride and groom were going to greet their guests in.  Cutting the cake was one of the first things they did as a married couple, which I think is very cool.  Plus, having been a guest at many weddings, I bet it was lovely to have something to enjoy with champagne whilst the couple were having their photos taken.
