Sandra - Alice in Wonderland Birthday Cake

Sandra is a caker friend so I was nervous making this for her. She'd given me free reign after all. Alice was the theme and this is Sandra's first birthday cake! Well, she turned 40 but this is the first birthday cake she's ever had. The cake is an 8" lemon and everything is handmade and edible.

Joan - Alice in Wonderland Cake

I loved this cake, not so chuffed transporting it, but I did love making it. Kept thinking of new characters to add.
Joan had sent me a picture a couple of months back ... I sent her back my sketch (always risky as am brutal at drawing). Anyway, she loved it and booked us.
The cake is made up of thee tiers, chocolate biscuit, raspberry and lemon. Everything is edible except the teapot. That is a Styrofoam ball covered in sugrpaste RCT were too heavy in this instance,
Oh, and the reaction I got when I dropped it to her was awesome ... just hope she cuts it now and eats it.

Alice in Wonderland Christening Cake

Firstly, this is not our original design but our take on another cake makers work. I loved every minute of this. Even the many hours of rose practice it took to get those three in the tea cup. Everything you see in these photos is edible.

The cakes are made up of an 8" chocolate biscuit cake, 6" zesty lemon cake and a dummy 4" tier for Justyne to keep as a memento of the day.
Yup, loved making this. Also, extremely chuffed I'm not the one trying to get that dummy tier home. The tension is the car on delivery was er, obvious.
