Millie - Bunny & Balloon Christening Cake

It was Millie's christening day yesterday and this is the cake her mam ordered for the celebration. The cake is a 10" zesty lemon and everything is handmade.

Rebecca - First Birthday Cake

The brief was pink and bunny and this is what I came up with. I wanted something sweet to celebrate Rebecca's first birthday. The cake is an 8" chocolate fudge and it's the first 'first' birthday cake I've made for Julie. I've made lots of other numbers but never a first lol.

Ben - Christening Cake

Ben's big sisters designed his cake. I think one of them wanted a puppy instead of a baby brother lol. The cake is an 8" chocolate biscuit and everything is edible and handmade.

Philippe - 50th Birthday cake

My gorgeous friend Jill asked me to make a cake for her equally wonderful husband's (Philippe) 50th birthday, I was only too happy to oblige. Philippe, when they lived across the road, used to have a flagpole in his garden and would regularly fly flags, the number of the house, halloween, christmas, easter etc. so I decided to use the French flag and Irish flag as a starting point. Then it was just a matter of fitting in the the family and their various pets. The cake is an 8" chocolate biscuit and everything, except the picture frame, is edible. p.s. The frog! One of the first phrases Jill ever learnt in French was 'there is a frog in the toilet / Il y a une grenouille dans les toilettes/" which she took great delight and giggles in shouting at Himself when he was, indeed, sitting on the toilet.

Cleo - Bunny Christening Cake

This is an 8" vanilla cake that was made to celebrate Cleo's christening day. The bunny is based on a toy she owns.

Orlagh left the design of Philippa's cake up to me. A nerve wracking prospect always lol. The cake is made up of an 8" lemon and a 6" vanilla tier. Everything is handmade and edible.

Averil, Senan's mam, sent me a couple of images as a guide to making her son's christening cake. This is what I came up with. 

 Everything is handmade and edible and the cake itself is an 8" Strawberry Swirl.

Summer Lily - Woodland Christening Cake

Sarah left the design up to me.  Provided there would be a woodland creature or two she was happy.  

The cake is an 8" zesty lemon cake.  Everything is handmade and edible and ... I really enjoyed making it.

p.s. Yeah, the squirrels nut.  I know squirrels don't find acorns in spring but this chap found it under the cake, he'd forgotten he'd hidden it away.
