Trish loses the L Plates

Made for the lovely Trish this is an 8" x 10" chocolate biscuit cake. There is a great story behind this cake and I hope Tricia has a great weekend and a great year ahead. — in Rush.

Always a manky plaster!!

I've discovered that I love making cakes with water in them.  I love that shade of blue.  This cake was ordered by Elaine, for her sister Karyn's birthday party.  Originally just a drink with a few friends it quickly became the event of the year.

The cake is a Baileys Sponge and the water is made from piping gel.  The figure of Karyn is made from fimo and is made to be kept and to sit on the edge of a shelf.  

The manky plaster?  As a child I can always, always, remember a plaster floating past at some point or another when in the swimming pool.
