Brendan proposed to Sinead a year ago with one of my cakes, it was a book and the ring and proposal were hidden within. I felt honoured being part of that and equally honoured to make their wedding cake this week.
Like a lot of weddings at the moment, it wasn't quite what they had in mind but they gathered friends and family and said "I do" on the 10th of December.
The cake design was always the same ... it just became smaller. It consists of a 10" dummy tier (the log base), an 8" zesty lemon (that smelled divine) and a 6" strawberry cake.
Congratulations guys, here's to your wonderful life ahead.
