Fab Four - Darren

We were asked to make a cake with a Beatles theme for Darren who was coming to Dublin with his parents, from the UK, to celebrate his 21st birthday.

The cake itself is an 8" vanillas cake with raspberry and vanilla filling. 

Zac's treasure map

Last year we had the pleasure of making a Triceratops for Zac's fourth birthday, this year he's all about pirates.  This is an 8" chocolate biscuit cake.  Everything is handmade and edible.

Kiva and Cath Kidson

Fergal rang me looking for a cake for his lovely wife, Kiva.  We chatted for a while about what would be best and then I rang her best friend who knew exactly what Kiva would want.  A Cath Kidson, Def Leppard and Guns n' Roses fan . . . no problem 

The cake is a 10" carved zesty lemon, a favourite of the family, and everything you see is edible.

Glee

Ten minutes before we were due to start this cake all I had was a font!!  Seriously.  I'd found a font similar to that used on the Cheerios uniform.  Bernie arrived with the cake and we started work.  I have to say, it came together perfectly.  We managed to incorporate a lot of the Glee aspects: Cheerios, Bullying (big quench splatters on the lockers), the music and . .  Journey!  The cake itself is a 10" chocolate fudge.  We had agreed a 10" round cake with the client but went a little bit more by providing a bigger cake so we had more room to have fun.
