Ulysses - First Edition Celebration Cake

 Today celebrates 100 years since James Joyce's Ulysses was published. @songsofjoyce asked that I make a cake for their celebrations today. Based on that original first edition, mine is entirely edible.

This is a vanilla and raspberry cake and is true to size.

Patrick - On the night you were born Naming Day Cake

 This book means a huge amount to Roz and she asked that I incorporate as much of it as I could into the cake. I've since bought a copy of the book as it really is beautiful.

Made for Patrick's naming day this is a tall 6" round chocolate biscuit cake.

p.s. Polar Bears are really, really hard to draw. Nevermind saxophone playing moons x

Bram - Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix birthday cake

 Hand on heart, I was a bit disappointed that Bram has moved on from Star Wars this year. Last year I got to make him a BB8.

However, I do love making cakes for my best mate's son. This is an 8" mix chocolate biscuit cake and everything, excluding the snitch is edible.

Sinéad (and Brendan) Harry Potter Birthday (Engagement) Cake

I have been like a kid for the past few days working on this cake. Brendan contacted me a few months ago to ask if I would come up with a cake that could be used as a birthday cake and a way to ask his girlfriend to marry him! I came up with the book and Brendan let me run with it. On the outside it's all birthday but when you open the cover ... well. 

She said yes!! 

Everything is edible and handmade and whooohoooo. This makes me so happy.

Yvonne asked me to make this 11 x 8 chocolate biscuit cake to celebrate Zoe and Ratna's first styled cover in Harvey Norman. Those cushions are to die for... I've seen them in real life lol. Oh, and there is the inside of the cake for you too x

Grace - The Midnight Gang Birthday Cake Book

Grace is a huge fan of David Walliam's books and loves this one the most.  Therefore it made sense to turn it into a cake for her 9th birthday.  

The cake is an 8" by 11" light chocolate cake with a vanilla buttercream filling.
